Project Details:
Evoking the atmosphere of a tranquil woodland, this densely vegetated balcony space features an abundance of shade-tolerant outdoor and indoor plants, grouped within their species and displayed in a series of shelves, mini greenhouses, planters, and on trellis and a pergola.A petite museum of planting, it gives visitors an opportunity to see how jungle- and woodland-style plants might grow and thrive in the wild. Here moss carpets the ground; lichens drape under branches; vines and epiphytes climb the tree trunks.Bathed in green light, with a rich tapestry of textures offset by splashes of intense colour, this is a garden for serious plant lovers. It is created by first-time Bloom designer, Tom Bradford, as an intimate and enveloping space where people and wildlife co-exist happily within a peaceful, biodiverse ecosystem.
