HALLIWICK RECREATIONAL GROUND

1/6

Client: Barnet Council

Location: Halliwick London

Date: July 2024

For / on behalf of LUC

Project Details:

The Halliwick Recreation Ground project is a nature-based flood management and park enhancement scheme that combines sustainable urban drainage with biodiversity and community recreation.

Designed through a collaborative approach, the project introduces wetlands, swales and a detention basin to reduce flood risk while creating valuable wildlife habitats. New walking routes, seating, viewing platforms, play features and extensive native planting transform the park into an accessible and engaging public space. By integrating climate resilience with ecological restoration and recreation, the project demonstrates how sustainable landscape design can deliver lasting environmental and community benefits.
