The proposal for Hazelbury Park transforms a central crossroads within the park into a vibrant community destination that brings together play, nature, and social interaction. Rather than focusing solely on traditional play equipment, the design creates a series of interconnected landscape zones that encourage exploration, relaxation, and activity for all ages. Inspired by the site's existing natural features, the proposal integrates woodland, wetland, meadow, and landform elements to provide diverse play experiences while enhancing biodiversity and strengthening the park's ecological value. Through the careful use of natural materials, native planting, accessible pathways, and welcoming social spaces, the design promotes inclusive recreation, environmental awareness, and a strong sense of place, creating a park that can be enjoyed by children, teenagers, families, and the wider community throughout the year.
