Project Details:
The King Edward VII Hospital Regeneration project presents a heritage-led vision to restore and revitalise a historic estate within the South Downs National Park. The proposals combine the sensitive restoration and conversion of the site's listed buildings with the conservation of the historic Gertrude Jekyll gardens and wider landscape. Alongside new residential development, the project enhances biodiversity through woodland restoration, habitat creation and ecological management, ensuring the estate is returned to active use while preserving its historic character. The scheme demonstrates how heritage conservation, landscape restoration and sustainable development can work together to create a resilient and high-quality environment.
