The Swinford Town Centre Redevelopment Plan aims to revitalise the retail district by creating a more attractive, pedestrian-friendly streetscape that encourages social activity and supports local businesses. The proposal promotes a balanced street for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles through improved crossings, traffic calming, and the prioritisation of parking where it is most needed. Opportunities for outdoor dining, high-quality seating, signage, and reduced street clutter will enhance the public realm, while tree planting, ornamental landscaping, and nature-based drainage will improve biodiversity and create a greener, more resilient town centre.
